Fabrication Services — Finned Tube Supply

Finned Tube Supply

Eight finning technologies, one source — embedded, wrap-on, overlapped, knurled, extruded, low-fin, welded, and studded tube manufactured for heat exchangers, air coolers, and process cooling across every major alloy.

Overview

The right fin, matched to the service

Finned tubes multiply the effective heat transfer surface of a bare tube, and the right fin process depends on operating temperature, corrosion environment, tube material, and budget. Fintelius manufactures across six distinct finning technologies — from mechanically embedded and knurled fin to fully cold-extruded and integrally rolled fin — so every project gets the process that fits its service conditions, not a one-size-fits-all fin.

Every tube is manufactured to dimensional and material specification, with fin height, density (FPI), and base tube alloy selected to match the heat duty, fouling environment, and mechanical loading of the application.

  • Eight finning technologies matched to temperature, corrosion & cost requirements
  • Fin materials in aluminum, copper & steel; base tubes to titanium & Inconel
  • Fin heights from 1/4" to 1", 4–26 fins per inch density
  • Straight & U-bend tube configurations up to 60 ft length
Finished tube bundle ends, ready for dispatch
How It Works

How we match a fin type to your application

Every finned tube order starts with the operating conditions, not the catalog page.

1

Operating Condition Review

Temperature, pressure, and service fluid define which finning process can be used.

2

Material Selection

Base tube and fin alloy are selected for corrosion resistance and mechanical duty.

3

Fin Process Selection

Embedded, wrap-on, overlapped, knurled, extruded, or low-fin — matched to the application.

4

Manufacture & Dimensional QC

Tubes are finned and inspected against fin height, density, and bond specifications.

5

Testing & Certification

Pressure testing, dimensional verification, and material certification accompany every shipment.

Finned Tube Types

Eight processes, one supply source

Explore each finned tube type in detail.

01

G-Type Fintube / Embedded Fintube

Aluminum fin mechanically embedded into a helical groove for maximum fin stability.

03

LL-Foot Fin / Overlapped L

Stepped double-L fin with complete base-tube coverage for corrosion protection.

04

KL Footed Fin / Knurled L Footed Fin

L-foot fin knurled into a knurled tube surface for enhanced bonding and vibration resistance.

05

Extruded Fin Tube

Cold-extruded aluminum fin for the strongest fin-to-tube bond in our range.

06

Low Fin Tube

Fin rolled directly from the base tube wall — no bond line, no separate fin material.

07

Welded Fin Tube

High-frequency resistance-welded fin, fused to the tube for continuous high-duty heat recovery.

08

Studded Fin Tube

Resistance-welded solid studs built to survive heavy fouling and aggressive mechanical cleaning.
